- Yoga – A lot of people may not care for the notion of using exercise as back pain management, however yoga is not traditional exercise. - Bowen Therapy – This form of back pain management is quite popular in Europe and Australia, but is starting to develop a following here in the United States. As the therapist applies pressure on the receptors and then releases, nerve impulses are sent to the brain which leads to pain reduction. This treatment is done over the course of 30-40 minutes.
- Acupuncture – This is one of the most common forms of back pain management. An acupuncturist will insert needles into various pressure points in your back and help alleviate the pain. The only drawback is that, since it involves the placement of needles where nerves are located, it is best to find a licensed acupuncturist to seek treatment from.
